SMB Go-to-Market Lead

About us Founded in 2019 and part of Y Combinator's 2020 cohort, Photoroom is the leading visual solution for e-commerce. We've raised Series B funding and reached 300+ million users worldwide, processing over 5 billion images annually and serving both small businesses and major enterprises like Amazon, DoorDash, and Decathlon through our mobile app, web platform, and API. We're a team of 100+ passionate builders giving e-commerce businesses superpowers to create visuals that help them grow, making the hardest parts of selling online disappear. We focus on craft, innovation, and collaboration to create exceptional impact for e-commerce businesses worldwide. Role Summary We're looking for an SMB Go-To-Market Lead to own how Photoroom wins established eCommerce merchants doing €500K to tens of millions in GMV (gross merchandise value, i.e., annual online sales). You come from the eCommerce world. You know where these merchants spend their time, which platforms they run on (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and the agencies and apps around them), and which channels actually move them. You've already acquired merchants at this scale, and you've done it with campaigns people talked about. This is a lead role. You'll ship campaigns yourself every month, and you'll lead a team of 2 GTM managers focused on dedicated personas. This is a marketing lead role for someone who still loves making the work, not a manager who has stopped shipping. Compensation: €80,000 – €110,000 + BSPCE Location: Paris, in-office 3 days per week About the Role Own SMB merchant acquisition and revenue - Set the GTM strategy for established eCommerce brands and own the numbers behind it: new merchant acquisition and conversion to paid users. Report on them monthly, and decide where the next euro goes across your channels. Build the B2B channels we don't have yet - Set up and scale outbound, partnerships (eCom platforms, app ecosystems, agencies, marketplaces), in-person events, and LinkedIn. Find which ones work for merchants at €500K+ GMV, prove them, then turn them into repeatable playbooks. Create campaigns people talk about - Concept, write, and ship launch and brand campaigns that spread across eCommerce communities and social feeds. You have the creative idea and know how to distribute it. Stay hands-on - Personally run at least one major campaign or channel bet each quarter, end to end. Set the bar for the team by doing the work, not just reviewing it. Lead and grow a team of 2, two GTM managers, each owning a merchant persona. Set clear goals, coach weekly, hire well as the team grows. Be the voice of the merchant - Turn what you hear from merchants, partners, and the market into positioning, messaging, and input for Product. Orchestrate campaigns across Marketing - Work hand in hand with our Paid User Acquisition, PR, and SEO/GEO teams. Bring them into every campaign from the brief, so paid, earned, and organic efforts land together and amplify each other. Measure everything - Track impact from first touch to paying merchant, report on CAC (customer acquisition cost) and payback by channel, and kill what doesn't work fast. About you You know eCommerce merchants from the inside, and you have the results and the campaigns to show for it. 8+ years in GTM, product marketing (PMM), or marketing in the eCommerce industry - At an eCom platform, a SaaS for merchants, a marketplace, an agency, or a fast-growing DTC brand. A track record of acquiring merchants at scale - You've acquired eCommerce merchants at scale, including established brands doing €500K to tens of millions in GMV. You can walk us through the numbers. You know the platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, TikTok Shop, Etsy…), their app stores and partner programs, the agencies and the communities where merchants make decisions. Proven in B2B channels - You've personally run outbound, partnerships, in-person events, or LinkedIn programs that generated pipeline. Strong creative background - You've led campaigns that went viral or became the reference in their category. You have taste, you can write, and you can brief and judge creative work. A player-coach who still ships - You're excited to lead a small team and make them better, while still doing the work yourself. Prior management experience is a plus, not a requirement. Data-driven - You set up tracking and attribution, read the numbers yourself, and make calls on them. Fluent in modern AI tools - Like every great marketer today, you use AI in your daily work to go faster. Autonomous with proactive transparency - You share plans early, keep the team informed, and communicate openly so everyone stays aligned. Fluent English (we exclusively work in English) If you think you have what it takes but don't meet every single point above, please still apply. We'd love to chat and see if you could be a great fit. Bonus points You've worked at or with Shopify, an eCom platform, or a top app in its ecosystem. You have an existing network of eCom founders, agencies, and partners in Europe or the US. You've built or grown a community of merchants or creators. You've worked in a fast-growing AI or product-led growth (PLG) company, where users sign up and buy without talking to sales. What you’ll ship in your first 90 days A channel plan for established merchants. Which of outbound, partnerships, events, and LinkedIn we test first, the target for each, and the budget. A first outbound engine. A targeted list of €500K+ GMV brands, persona-tailored sequences, and at least 5K merchants reached through it. A partnership with a platform, app, or agency. Co-marketing that puts Photoroom in front of thousands of merchants. Benefits Regular team gatherings, including in-person onboarding in Paris (1–2 weeks), yearly company offsite, team retreats, and quarterly in-person meetings 25 days annual leave + RTT and local public holidays Competitive equity package with BSPCE €1,000 annual learning and development budget Private health insurance Access to personalized mental health support via MokaCare Sports and cultural activities reimbursement Relocation support (up to €10k) for those choosing to move to France (visa + housing support) Note: Visa sponsorship and relocation support are only available for roles based in France.
