Finance Manager (Finance, Data & Automation) (gn) @ Atlantic, Berlin

About Atlantic Atlantic is the first believer in founders, science and bold ideas. We lead pre-seed rounds across Europe with speed and conviction, backing ambitious founders from day one and supporting them hands-on, especially with fundraising and hiring. As a thesis-driven fund, we have built deep expertise in four technology areas: AI & Compute, Energy & Climate, Industrial & Robotics, and Space & Security. Since 2016, we have partnered with over 150 European founders in their earliest days, including those behind category-defining companies such as Choco, GetYourGuide, Wandelbots, Softr, Harmattan, Again, Synthflow and Mirelo. For us, there is no 'too bold' or 'too early'. Just founders venturing into the unknown. The role As our Finance Manager, you'll run the day-to-day of Atlantic's fund finance: across portfolio monitoring, cash flow and invoicing, fund accounting and reporting, compliance, and special projects. You'll report directly to our Head of Finance and work closely with our Partners, our fund administrator and our tax advisor. Beyond the day-to-day, you’ll have a clear mandate to automate. The goal is to cut manual work in half and let portfolio insights surface on their own. If building the finance function of a modern VC sounds better than maintaining one, read on. What you'll own Automation. You develop our existing setup, and automate finance and administrative workflows wherever it adds value. Portfolio monitoring. You collect the reporting from our 150+ portfolio companies and use AI to turn the data into insights that the team can act on. Cash flow and invoicing. You manage liquidity planning, management fees and invoicing across our funds and management company, and support capital calls and distributions. Fund accounting and reporting. You review the work of our fund administrator and support the preparation of quarterly LP reports, annual financial statements and tax filings. Compliance. You keep our funds and management company compliant, from regulatory reporting to KYC/AML checks. Special projects. You take on ad hoc projects across finance, from new reporting requirements to supporting FX management. The mission Fast-forward - here's what you've built: Half the manual work is gone. Processes that used to eat your week now run on their own, because you automated them The portfolio talks back. AI pulls the numbers from 150+ startups, spots what's moving and puts it in front of the team before anyone asks Portfolio reporting is an end-to-end system. One trusted source the whole team relies on The moonshot: Automating the full path from term sheet to financial statements. Few funds work this way today. We want to be one of the first, and you'd be the one who helps us build it. About you You'll feel at home here if you: Learned finance where the bar is high. Maybe in fund finance at a VC or PE firm, at a fund administrator, in Big Four audit or advisory, or in a strong controlling team. Know your accounting inside out, and enjoy putting it to work on a fund Think AI-first. Claude is already part of your workday, and anything you do twice, you want to automate Love turning data into insight, not just reconciling it Own your numbers.
