Principal Solution Architect - Presales Lead AI (m/w/d)

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR: We’re looking for a Principal Solution Architect to lead presales for our AI solutions. You’ll help customers anonymize video and image data so they can use it responsibly for AI development. You’ll be the technical voice that turns customer ambiguity into working proofs of concept and a closed deal: researching requirements, demonstrating solutions to potential customers, and shaping how our AI products evolve based on what you learn. This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role with real influence over both sales outcomes and product direction from day one. As the most senior member of the custom development team, you'll also set technical direction and mentor junior colleagues — raising the bar on solution design, sharing what you learn from customer engagements, and helping the team grow its skills and judgment over time. This role is the technical leadership that turns our responsible AI mission into working solutions for customers. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Presales & Customer Engagement • You enable sales roles with strong solution designs and live demonstrations of our AI solutions to potential customers. • You identify customer issues and translate them into opportunities for product improvement. • You manage and respond to customer and partner inquiries via our ticketing system and email. Solution Prototyping • You develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts tailored to customer-specific requirements, using Python on Linux and containerized (Kubernetes) environments. • You adapt and extend our AI solutions to fit real-world customer use cases in video and media data. Team & Knowledge • You improve team efficiency through AI methods, FAQs,internal documentation, and community contributions. • You feed field insights - such as recurring customer questions, technical blockers, and competitive gaps - back into product and sales enablement. IN ORDER FOR YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU BRING: • Eight years of experience as a solution engineer, consultant, or software developer, with direct customer contact in presales, solution engineering or technical support. • Python-based prototyping experience, ideally for AI/ML or data-heavy use cases, running on Linux. • Strong communication skills; fluent in English. ALSO DESIRABLE: • Experience with SaaS, computer vision, AI, or video management systems. • Experience with Milestone XProtect or other VMS technology. • Understanding of on-premises and embedded AI technology is a plus. • Hands-on experience with containers in scaled Kubernetes cloud environments. WHAT WE OFFER: • Friendly cooperation at eye level - We live and breathe flat hierarchies with a positive feedback culture. • Innovation where it matters - A challenging position in a company that is changing the world of video data: With you we will make history. • Creative and entrepreneurial playground - Get a chance to be your own master, define your own tasks, actively contribute and implement your ideas. Grow yourself and grow the success of the company with direct influence from day one. • Team spirit celebrates diversity - Numerous events to get to know the teams- • Flexible working hours - Trust-based and goal-oriented working culture. • Benefits to smooth your ride in life - Public transport ticket with a 50% subsidy and a huge discount on Urban Sports Club memberships. • Boost your learning – we’ll fund it - We offer a generous learning budget so you can improve your skills. • Loft-office in central Berlin - With free drinks and a large balcony with barbecue. WHY YOU SHOULD WORK HERE: We are a diverse, ambitious team with a great passion for data privacy, generative AI and startups. Our office is in the heart of Berlin, one of the coolest, most vibrant cities worldwide. We enjoy teamwork and celebrating successes together.
